Lila Corwin Berman, "Crises in Jewish Liberalism"

Lila Corwin Berman returns to JHSM to discuss "Crises in Jewish Liberalism: A View from Detroit."  Berman is professor of history and Jewish studies at Temple University, where she holds the Murray Friedman Chair of American Jewish History and also directs the Feinstein Center of American Jewish History. She is the author of Metropolitan Jews: Politcs, Race, and Religion in Postwar Detroit (University of Chicago Press, 2015).  Her current project is The American Jewish Philanthropic Complex: The Historical Formation of a Multi-Billion Dollar Institution, under contract with Princeton University Press.
